Web 2.0 Security (part I)
In the previous article I have analyzed the web 2.0 lifecycle, now i will present an introduction to security...
If we take a look at our history books we could see technology is continuously developed because we (humans) have that strange feeling and hungry for knowledge always leading us to create new technologies.
One thing I have learned from the human history (for the last century for sure), is that when a new successful technology arrives, the massive uses of this creation began to grows exponentially over the world, and later (in some cases a lot of years later) security become an issue. (we could take many examples of it, like cars?, planes?)
Today we could see a lot of people fighting around the globe trying to tag this new fashion “web 2.0” definition, or even worst, some of them are thinking in the “3.0” scope and capabilities.
So, what about security? Is anyone there thinking in term of the security consequences of social networking? . I think we will have to make an extra-effort not only to improve user interfaces and the whole experience, but to enhance privacy and security too.

smart/paranoid/tech-savvy people are smart about security when using them. i am, when using social networking sites.
people who are seriously trying to build a business/income-oriented web2.0 webpages are worried about security. i am, when building pages.
Yes, but today some business oriented sites are in debt with their users about security; maybe we will face the real web 2.0 security challenges in a near future...
In 20 years the wars will be for the drinking water, and in 50 years the wars will be to control the world's information. So if you are careful todoy you won't going to be afraid tomorrow for your private data being sold to anyone to use it against you. So Security and privacy are important things to care about them, but maybe the problem is that common people now think that spending time for managing personal information the way it has to be managed it's actually a waste of time. They will understand they were wrong, but a few years later.
